I am your God, I and no other

With other gods you shall not bother

My name in vain you shan’t belabor

On the Sabbath you shall not labor

To your parents you shall pay heed

You shan’t commit a murderous deed

To your spouse you shall be true

You shall not steal, whate’er you do

You shall not lie, nor tell a fib
Nor another’s spouse covet – God forbid!

בֶּאֱלִילִים לֹא תִּתְגָּאֵל

לֹא תִּשָּׂא לַשָׁוְא שֵׁם אֵל

יוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי לֹא תְּחַלֵּל

בְּהוֹרֶיךָ לֹא תָּקֵל

מַעֲשֵׂי רֶצַח לֹא תְּעוֹלֵל

כְּאַחַד הָרֵיקִים לֹא תִּתְהוֹלֵל

בַּגְּנֵבָה לֹא תִּכָּשֵׁל

בִּדְבַר-שֶׁקֶר לֹא תִּגָּעֵל

לֹא תַּחְמֹד – יִשְׁמָרְךָ אֵל
